Rain

 I Always Enjoyed The Rain...........

Nourishing the roots from the summer heat
Encouraging new life
As if Mother Nature is stimulating a rebirth
After washing away the infertile soil
Subjected to the weeds of life.

Tiny droplets form on my skin
Creating the sensation of emotional energy
And then an explosive release of light
Nearly blinds my intuition.............

Only momentary elevation wrappin
Me up to touch the sky
Reachin for a limit when there is none
But the words of thunder
Trailin off into subliminal bliss.

I and I always in the midst
Sunflowers bloomin Oshun
Changin my channel blessing the ancestors
Bare Feet
Splashin in the deepest puddles.

Baptize me in a
Yoruba and Irish Sea
Waistbeads rollin my hips
Motherland leavin honey on my lips
Just as clear as quartz...............
